Ifixit’s teardown of the Huawei P20 Pro has revealed that optical image stabilisation (OIS) hardware is present in all three of the device’s cameras, something that wasn’t clear initially. (Huawei P20 Pro Camera Impresses)
At the moment, only the 8-megapixel telelens uses OIS but with this extra hardware coming to light, it looks as though the 40-megapixel RGB sensor and 20-megapixel monochrome lens could be improved with OIS capabilities via a future software update. To read Ifixit’s full teardown, click here.
