IBC 2016: ACCESS Twine™ boosts multiscreen consumer loyalty

ACCESS CO., LTD (IBC stand #14.D14) today announced that it will demonstrate its extended ACCESS Twine™ multiscreen media sharing and management platform at IBC 2016 (9 – 13 September 2016, Amsterdam RAI).

ACCESS Twine eases the development and operation of multiscreen services by addressing the most important details operators are facing, such as coping with platform fragmentation while lowering OPEX, alongside improving subscriber profiling to increase loyalty, minimize churn and therefore optimize ARPU. The solution also provides support for secure media sharing in order to deliver high value assets to authorized consumers.

“Consumers are now accustomed to multiscreen services, and expect to be able to reach all their content through a virtual library that they can easily access without compromising on the user experience or content protection,” said Dr Neale Foster, COO and VP Global Sales at ACCESS Europe. “We have expanded ACCESS Twine to adapt to increased time-to-market pressures, and to offer compliance with the latest media sharing and security standards. Our demonstrations at IBC will show players throughout the industry that, with the right technology, they can create and deploy high value multiscreen services in record timeframes.”

As the number of devices able to access multiscreen increases, operators need technologies that reduce platform fragmentation and its associated development and testing costs by providing common applicable solutions. To tackle this challenge, ACCESS Twine™ client SDKs are available for a wide range of devices such as set-top boxes, TVs, iOS, Android, Windows mobile devices as well as Mac OSX and Windows computers. This enables operators to utilize the same technology for all devices, improving reach at a fraction of the cost.

To help operators better understand subscribers, ACCESS Twine™ provides “Smart Data” generation and aggregation over its cloud-based service components together, which can be integrated with existing tools, such as the Verimatrix Verspective™ Operator Analytics solution, to deliver user-friendly analytics.

This development is part of the extended ACCESS and Verimatrix partnership, which prepares the ground for a fast and easy integration of the VerimatrixViewRight® technology as a CA/DRM complementary and separate add-on to ACCESS Twine™, in order to secure media sharing within the entitled domain while shortening time to market. This ensures the same level of protection for all media sources, including premium assets and the consumer’s private library, as well as local and remote, free or premium, subscribed or owned content.

The ACCESS Twine™ demonstrations at IBC 2016 will enable operators to discover a flexible solution for core multiscreen functionality, which ensures that they remain in control of the media experience while preserving third party branding even within bundled apps. Integrators, device and hardware manufacturers will also see how the integration of many multiscreen services’ functionalities can help them save a significant amount of time as the period between development and market launch shrinks.

ACCESS Twine™ will be demonstrated on the ACCESS stand (#14.D14) throughout the show.
