I didn’t expect to love Corsair’s bendable OLED screen this much

What They Say

Various reviewers have been looking at the new Corsair flexible curved/flat monitor that was launched recently (Curved Monitor? Certainly! How Much Would You Like?). PC Gamer liked the 45″ 3440 x 1440 (21:9) display a lot, partly for the flexibility (literally) and partly because of the OLED image quality and fast response. The reviewer did say that it made him very nervous, especially the first time he tried bending the screen!

TFTCentral also posted a YouTube review on the monitor. The firm confirmed that the peak brightness is 1,000 cd/m² (3%), 800 cd/m² (10%), 450 cd/m² (25%) and 150 cd/m² (100%). Colour coverage is 98.5% of DCI-P3 and 100% of sRGB. The panel has 10 bits of control with 12 bit processing available. Colour error is expected to be ?E <1 as the Corsair will be factory calibrated. The display will have a three year burn-in warranty.

The tester also really liked the response rate – check the video at this point for pursuit camera images.

What We Think

The tests were done on prototypes which had just two settings – flat or 800R, but production will have a range of options. (BR)
