Huawei has said that it has sold over 100 million smartphones this year – a new record amongst Chinese firms. Last year, the company sold 75 million phones. He Gang, president of Huawei’s mobile phone line, said that the increase is largely thanks to its positioning in the mid-range and high-end market; phones costing over CNY2,000 ($310) represented more than 33% of the company’s total domestic shipments in Q3’15.
