Huawei to Reveal New Phone in London

Jerry Huang, director of communications at Huawei, has revealed that the company will not launch a new phone at MWC, instead focusing on wearables. The next addition to the company’s premium P-Series (likely to be named the P8) will be unveiled place on 15th April, in London.

P-Series phones are always launched in Europe, where Huawei has an established handset business. The region is also important to the series’ brand strategy.

Important features will include the industrial design and the camera, said Jie Jinjin, Huawei’s VP of handsets. According to Wired, the screen will be an LCD with resolution below UltraHD (the president of Huawei’s handset division, Kevin Ho, believes that battery life is more important).
