HP Inc. reported Q4 net profits of $492 million, down on profits for the same period last year of $1.3 billion, on turnover of $12.5 billion, up 2% on $12.3 billion. For the year there were profits of $2.5 billion, a decrease from $4.6 billion, on revenue which fell 6% to $48.2 billion from $51.1 billion. Notebook sales saw a Q4 YoY rise of 6% to $4.6 billion, bringing the figure to $17.0 billion, down 2%.
HP said that Personal Systems net revenue was up 4% year over year (up 5% in constant currency) with a 4.3% operating margin. Commercial net revenue increased 3% and consumer net revenue increased 7%. Total units were up 5% with notebooks units up 9% and desktops units up 1%.
