HP Has A DisplayHDR Gaming Monitor

As well as its new commercial and professional products (HP Finds its Mojo), HP has been busy with its consumer products and we recently spotted that a couple of announcements had slipped by us last month. As well as the new Pavillion gaming notebook, and a couple of desktop machines, there is a new 32″ HDR gaming monitor.

The Gaming Laptop 15 has a 15.6″ display with a number of options. – 144Hz 1080P, 60Hz 180p and 60Hz with an UltraHD panel. Graphic come from an AMD Radeon RX 560X or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 with Max-Q Design and the system has a wide range of 8th Gen Intel Core processors. Pricing starts from $799.

The HP Pavilion Gaming 32 HDR Display has 2560 x 1440 resolution and has 600 cd/m² of peak brightness (300 cd/m² typical) with 3,000:1 contrast from a VA panel with 95% coverage of DCI-P3. The monitor is reported to have eight backlight zones using an edge-lit configuration. There is support for FreeSync for adaptive frame rates and maximum frame rate is 75Hz with a 5ms response time. It has dual HDMI ports and a USB hub with two downstream ports. The monitor meets the VESA DisplayHDR 600 requirements and costs $449.
