Haier was presenting four new smartphones, two in the existing Voyage series, which debuted at last year’s show, and two in the new Leisure series.
The Voyage V6 is Haier’s flagship: a 7.6mm-thick model in a stainless steel chassis, the phone features a 5.5″ display, 1920 x 1080 resolution and a fingerprint reader. It runs Android 6.0 on a 64-bit 1.5 – 1.8GHz octa-core processor, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM.
Autofocus is fast, at 0.23 seconds. 13MP (rear) and 8MP (front) cameras are built in, with a dual LED flash. Haier will sell the V6 starting in Q3, for €350.
Haier’s next phone is the slightly thicker (8mm) Voyage V4, with an identical display and 1.3GHz octa-core processor. It features Haier’s HotKnot wireless data transfer technology (Haier in Multiple Display Segments), as well as a fingerprint reader. The phone will be launched in the summer, starting at €280.
The new Leisure series consists of the L60 and L56. The first of these is a 5.2″ (1280 x 720) model, with an IPS panel, 7.3mm-thick chassis and fingerprint reader. 8MP (rear) and 5MP (front) cameras are built in. This is a dual SIM model. A 1.3GHz quad-core processor, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM, runs Android 5.1. Haier will sell the L60 in the summer, starting at €250.
Finally we looked at the Leisure L56, with a 5″ (1280 x 720) display, 7.3mm thickness and 2.5D glass. Owners can wake the phone by tapping twice on its screen. A quad-core 1.3GHz processor runs Android 5.1 (2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM), and the phone features dual SIM slots. It will go on sale this month, starting at €180.
