What They Say
SamMobile reports that the ‘Tensor’ SoC that is reported to be in the next Google Pixel smartphone (Google Uses a New Processor) is in fact a version of a Samsung Exynos CPU and will be made using Samsung’s 5nm LPE fabrication process.
The blog said that the chip may be the expected Exynos 9855 chip.
What We Think
That feels more accurate to me than Google designing its own chip. Working with Samsung would sound much more likely. The site also said that an up-coming Exynos chip, the 9925 will feature an AMD GPU.
Of course, this week, the shadow of Samsung is hanging over the smartphone segment as it will have its big launch tomorrow, 11th August. (BR)
