Android M, the next version of the popular OS, has been announced at Google I/O. Google has focused on improving the quality of the platform. However, new features have also been added, which include fingerprint recognition; USB-C support; and Google’s own Apple Pay competitor (the innovatively-named Android Pay). Another new feature to improve battery life is called Doze: ‘advanced’ motion detection can recognise if a device has been left unused for an extended period. If so, the mobile will enter a deeper sleep state.
