Google applied for a patent relating to the use of MicroLEDs in AR glasses in March 2016, and that has now been awarded according to the Patently Mobile blog. The concept puts the image onto the lens of the glasses with an array of collimating reflectors to reflect back into the user’s eye. The glasses are expected to contain wireless connectivity and a microprocessor as well as a camera.
