Google is venturing into the UK high street with the opening of a ‘shop-in-shop’ retail space with Dixons Carphone. The first Google shop has opened in Currys PC World in London’s Tottenham Court Road, selling a range of Google devices, including Android phones, tablets, Chromebook laptops and Chromecast devices. The company will open a further two London concessions in Currys PC World megastores in Fulham and Thurrock, though reports suggest it has no plans to take on Apple with stand-alone stores.
