Google has finally finished off the Daydream VR platform by shutting down its servers, including those on the VR Play Store, so there apps cannot be downloaded, although they may be available on other platforms.
What We Think
Google said a few months ago that it was stopping support (Google Ends Support for Daydream VR). The platform was announced in 2016, and seemed to have gained the most traction by 2018, but as VR has hit the lower ‘slopes of enlightenment’ in the hype cycle (although it could be towards the end of the trough of disillusionment) (BR)
