Google Glass Repurposed for Business Use with AI Capabilities

Google Glass is making a comeback. At a Google conference in San Francisco, United States, Israeli software firm Plataine demonstrated an app for the platform that provides voice-activated AI features for factory workers.

For example, an employee using the app can be alerted to issues that require their attention and access a database of helpful information using voice commands. Plataine’s clients include Airbus, Boeing and GE. The company says it is also planning to add image recognition features to the app at some point in the future.

The relaunch of Google Glass for businesses comes a year after the device was removed from sale to consumers following privacy concerns.
