Google Discontinues Own Chromebook Development

What They Say

The Verge reported that Google has discontinued its next Pixelbook notebook and dispersed the team that was developing it, although it confirmed its plans as recently as May and was expected to release this premium Chromebook next year.

What We Think

I can’t be completely surprised by this. The Chromebook market has been really tough lately and all of big tech is facing more challenging times. Further, there are a number of good companies such as Asus, Acer, HP, Lenovo and Samsung that are making good products. They don’t really need Google to push them to something better (a driver, I often thought for Microsoft’s device developments). (BR)
