What They Say
Ganzin Technology from Taiwan said at the virtual CES that it has developed eye-tracking technology in collaboration with Qualcomm. The software is available to run on the XR2 platform and will be extended to support the XR1 and uses a module that is claimed to be the smallest currently on the market and that is ‘light-source agnostic’
What We Think
I have been banging on about the importance of gaze recognition and eye tracking for more years than I can count. However, after the gobbling up of several technology developers a couple of years ago by big tech companies, there were bound to be opportunities for other, merchant suppliers. Simply, “if you know where I’m looking, you know what I’m thinking about”, so gaze can provide real insight and context to data processing. (BR)
