fuboTV Launches Beta Support for Ultra HD and HDR10

fuboTV, a live streaming TV service in the US, mainly dedicated to sports, has launched Ultra HD and HDR10 support in beta, starting with main broadcasts of matches from the 2018 World Cup, available via all Chromecast and Fire TV devices that support the format. The platform will also launch UHD and HDR10 support for Roku and Apple TV in the coming weeks.

For subscribers without UHD and HDR10-capable TVs, all Russia 2018 matches are available in 60 frames per second. ATEME, a provider of video delivery infrastructure, provided the software to enable the UHD HDR encoding platform for fuboTV.

Subscriptions to fuboTV are currently discounted, priced at $34.99 for the first month after a free seven-day trial and fubo Extra for $39.99 for the first month after the free seven-day trial (discounted from $44.99 and $49.99, respectively). New subscribers can also get a free upgrade to the Family Share plan, including a third simultaneous stream, normally $5.99 per month.

Subscribers who purchase a Roku device before July 8th will also receive a free one-month subscription to fuboTV.
