Freedeo announced today that they have launched a lawsuit with the Shenzhen Court in China against the mother companies of GetD and Le-Vision for patent infringement on the polarized 3D cinema system that they are currently manufacturing and selling.
All together, four lawsuits were raised, two on the 24th of March 2017 and another two on the 26th of April 2017. Since Shenzhen Time Waying Technology Limited, owner of the Freedeo brand, is a publicly listed company on the China Beijing NEEQ Board, the local regulatory announcements were made on the 28th of March 2017 and on the 28th of April 2017, respectively.
The lawsuits raised on the 24th of March 2017 against Shenzhen Future 3D Technology Limited, owner of the GetD brand, and Shenzhen Levision Technology Limited, owner of the Le-Vision brand, are for their infringement of China patent no. ZL201220733230.5. The lawsuits raised on the 26th of April 2017 against the same two companies are for their infringement of China patent no. ZL201320549548.2.
In the lawsuits, Freedeo demands that GetD and Le-Vision immediately cease the manufacturing and selling of the infringing products, and destroy all inventory of finished goods, based on a successful ruling by the Shenzhen Court in favor of Time Waying.
