IMax Enhanced has named its first two certified Ultra HD Blu-ray discs — nature documentaries A Beautiful Planet and Journey to the South Pacific. Coincidentally, they are also the first two UHD Blu-rays to implement HDR10+, though IMax Enhanced only specifies HDR10 as a requirement for certification. In fact, Sony’s IMax Enhanced TVs don’t even support the format.
Earlier this month, the first batch of IMax Enhanced-certified devices was revealed, including TVs, projectors and receivers.
