The International Cricket Council has said that the ICC World Cup 2015 will be produced in UltraHD. Seven matches will be broadcast live, using the format, by India’s Star Sports.

I was very surprised that one of the sports that benefited most from HD TV was cricket. I don’t watch much of the sport, but it was clear when HD arrived that HD, and the latest technology to film the sport, allowed a much better viewing experience – amazing for this very old and arcane game! (BR)
