Epson US has released eight new Powerlite Pro-G projectors for large venues. Enhancing the feature-set of the Pro-G series, all of the new models have HDBaseT connectivity, as well as support for Extron XTP and the Control4 Simple Device Discovery Protocol. They are also compatible with Crestron and AMX systems.
The projectors are the G6070W; G6170; G6270W; G6470WU; G6570WU; G6770WU; G6870; and G6970WU. Users can wirelessly connect up to 50 devices with any of the new units. They can show content from up to four devices at the same time. Additionally, set-up time can be shortened by the new facility to copy settings between projectors on a USB stick.
Each projector supports edge-blending and 360° installation flexibility. They use a 380W lamp (lasting 3,000 – 4,000 hours) and have six lens options; the standard lens provides +/-30° keystone correction, a 1.6x zoom and +/-30° (horizontal) and +/-67° (vertical) lens shift.
The projectors feature DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA, 5-BNC, RCA, composite, S-Video, USB-A, USB-B, RS232 and RJ45 ports. They measure 504.9 x 404.9 x 170.9mm, and weigh 9.7kg.
The main difference between the projectors is in brightness and resolution, which is detailed in the table. They will be released in March.
