EIZO Releases New Calibration Sensor for Medical Monitor Use & VIP Adaptor

Eizo has a new UX2 sensor for calibration of its RadiForce medical monitors.

It features improved humidity and impact resistance compared to other sensors and comes with a protective cap to prevent the sensor from becoming dirty and being affected by moisture during storage.
The UX2 Sensor also features a new LED indicator, which surrounds the device and lights up when it has been correctly connected to the monitor to ensure efficient calibration. Furthermore the design, featuring a white band on the black body, was created to match the aesthetic of Eizo’s medical monitors.

The UX2 Sensor is compliant with several countries’ quality control standards such as JESRA (Japan), AAPM (USA) and DIN (Germany), when used in conjunction with Eizo’s RadiCS quality control software. As a result, users can make accurate measurements and calibrations according to medical grade qualifications.

Shipping will start in August.

Separately, Eizo GmbH in Karlsruhe said that it has developed a lossless zero latency method for transmitting video and image data over IP in operating rooms. The solution is called CuratOR Alipe and can support 10GB/s networking and a frame rate of 60Hz. The system supports fibre optic transmission up to 10km and can be used for remote KVM applications as well as video data transmission.

The core functionality of the CuratOR Alipe is contained in the TIP0210F-DVI hardware component, which can be used simultaneously as an encoder and decoder. Video management functions are integrated into the device. This enables various multiple views: QuadView, Side-by-Side, and Picture-in-Picture. TID0210F-DVI works with passive cooling and is noiseless and without mechanical wear.

Eizo will be presenting the new CuratOR Alipe video-over-IP solution for the first time during ConhIT from April 25 – 27 in Berlin
