EIZO Releases 6 Mpixel RadiForce RX660 Monitor

Eizo has announced the RadiForce RX660 30″ colour monitor for radiology and other medical applications. The 6 megapixel display is available with an anti-glare or anti-reflective coating and uses a 3280 x 2048 IPS panel (16:10) with 1,000 cd/m² output, although it is recommended at 500 cd/m² when calibrated. Contrast is 1500:1 and response time is 25ms (on/off). There are dual link DVI-D inputs as well as dual DisplayPort 1.2 inputs. DisplayPort passthrough is supported. There’s an integrated USB hub and Eizo has reduced the bezel size to make multi-display environments more seamless.

Features include Eizo’s sharpness recovery technology and ambient and presence sensors. There is a PIP function that can be disabled by moving the cursor to the edge of the screen (called ‘Hide and Seek’). There is a “Switch and Go” function with USB that allows a single keyboard and mouse to work on two different PCs. The PCs can be switched by moving the cursor from screen to screen. Eizo created a video to show the ‘Work-and-Flow’ process.

The monitor will ship in February 2017 and FDA approval is currently pending.

Eizo’s work and flow system allows multiple PCs to be easily used with a single keyboard and mouse.
