The E3 Electronic Entertainment Expo has been cancelled for 2022, even on a digital basis. Last year, the event took place digitally.
What We Think
I was surprised that the event is not taking place even virtually. On the other hand, at the moment the Gamescom event in Germany is still expected to go ahead in August. Display Week is also still scheduled to go ahead. I have everything crossed that it continues to be scheduled.
I recently attended the BETT event in London and last week had Covid (again), which I almost certainly caught either at the show or on the London Underground/DLR on the way to the event. Still, the Omicron variant seems to be quite mild as long as you don’t have complicating health factors. For me, and for my wife, it was not much more than a cold and I’m now testing as negative again.
We are in the process of updating the website to add back our Events Calendar for subscribers. (BR)
