What They Say
E Ink announced that it has its first ePaper module with on-cell touch. The technology is available on its Kaleido colour EPD display or the monochrome Carta devices. The development of on-cell bothh reduces BOM cost and improves performance, the firm said, with a 30% boost in contrast for black and white and boosts of 40% and 15%, respectively, for colour contrast ratio and colour saturation increase.
What We Think
This is a good move by E Ink and should enable more and better note-taking products like the Koba product released this week. (Kobo Elipsa Supports a Stylus) (BR)
