This week we are highlighting LCD monitors in the 24″ Full HD category, covering models with resolution of 1920 x 1080 and sizes from 23.5″ to 24.4″ wide. There are 16 brands featured in the advertising, with AOC, Philips and Iiyama the top three advertised brands across all three countries. In France, Iiyama is top followed by Samsung in second place and Acer in third. In Germany, Samsung is top followed by AOC in second and BenQ and Philips in joint third and in the UK, AOC leads, followed by Philips and Iiyama. Over the three countries, BenQ is first with the GL2450HM, with Iiyama taking the next two positions with the ProLite B2481HS-B1 and the ProLite B2480HS-1. In France, Iiyama takes all three top positions with the ProLite E2483HS, the ProLite B2481HS-B1 and the ProLite B2480HS-1. In Germany, BenQ’s GL2450HM is top, with Samsung taking the next two spots with the S24D300HL and the S24C650PL. In the UK, the three leading models were BenQ’s GL2450HM, Iiyama’s ProLite B2480HS-1 and Iiyama’s ProLite B2481HS-B1.
The average dollar price went down by 14% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was down 19% YoY, while in Germany it fell by 16% and in the UK it went down by 13%. The minimum price in June for a 24″ Full HD LCD monitor was $116.80 excluding tax.
