DSCC reported the highlights of the TV market and emerging technologies sections of the SID/DSCC Business Conference (registration required).
As well as the overall shape of what DSCC calls the ‘Advanced TV’ market, there were talks by Jason Hartlove of Nanosys and Chirag Shah of Samsung Display who covered QDs and QD-OLEDs, respectively. There was also a panel session with Paul Gray (Omdia), Paul Gagnon (now at NPD and taking over from Stephen Baker).
In the emerging technologies session Yoshio Tamura of DSCC detailed the key technology trends in IT and TV displays.
Dr. James Murphy and Rachel Cassidy, PhD, of GE highlighted the firm’s phosphor developments.
What We Think
I need to catch up with all the virtual sessions from the event. The GE session was one of those and I need to catch up! (BR)
