DisplayLink, a provider of USB graphics and wireless VR technology, showcased some of its latest tech at this year’s E3 expo, including multi-player wireless VR, replica weaponry, haptic wearables and a 13m² display wall.
Visitors to the DisplayLink booth were able to experience wireless VR on the upcoming Vive Wireless Adaptor connected to HTC’s Vive Pro headset. Featuring the DisplayLink XR codec and Intel’s WiGig specification, the adaptor uses the 60GHz band, designed for minimal interference.
Visitors were also able to try Tactsuit from Bhaptics, a wireless suit that delivers haptic feedback for VR. More than 70 feedback points are powered by eccentric rotating mass vibration motors, enabling games to be programmed with haptic feedback.
