It has been confirmed that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be Disney’s first 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release.
Guardians director James Gunn responded to a series of tweets earlier this week from fans wondering if the superhero sequel was going to take advantage of the latest television technology such as ultra high-definition resolution and High Dynamic Range (HDR).

Disney has yet to comment, but Marvel has confirmed James’ comments on its official website.

This is great news for UHD consumers, considering the other high-profile franchises Disney holds the rights to, including Star Wars and Pixar. (AF)
