Digital video viewers take TV to smaller screens. Here’s a breakdown

What They Say

After a drop during the Covid pandemic, US viewers have continued to increase their viewing of video on non-TV devices, with the number reaching 59% according to Leichtman Research. The firm estimates that almost 260 million US consumers, or 76.9% of the population, will be monthly digital video viewers this year.

87.1% will watch on smartTV and 84.1% on smartphones, will 59.5% will use desktop or notebook computers.

What We Think

If anybody had suggested to me some years ago that I would watch/listen to as much video (mainly YouTube) on my PC as I do, I would have completely denied the possibility. But I do now listen much of the day, and occasionally grab a look at some images.

I noted that the chart included eReaders! Good luck watching video on a Kindle!  (BR)
