Dell Thin Client Supports Dual UHD

Dell has announced a new thin client, the Wyse 5060 that is designed to be very flexible and work with Citrix, Microsoft and VMWare protocols. The device is based on an AMD 2.4GHz processor with 4GB of RAM and 8GB or 64GB of Flash SSD.

At launch, the 5060 can be purchased with Dell’s own Wyse ThinOS software or with Windows Embedded Standard (WES) 7p. In early 2017, an upgrade to Windows 10 IoT will be available for WES customers, and the 5060 will also then be available with Wyse ThinLinux.

The 5060 has dual DisplayPort outputs for displays and each can support a display at 38040 x 2160 (30Hz) or 2560 x 1600 (60Hz).
