What They Say
Dell has new versions of its rugged notebooks, the Latitude 5430 Rugged and Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme. The 5430 has a 14″ 1080P touchscreen with 1,100cd/m² of output. The notebook can survive drops of up to a metre and has certification to IP-53. There are lots of ports including RJ-45, Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI 2.0. It weighs 2kg (4.4lbs). Processors up to an Intel Core i7 are available with an option for discrete T500 Nvidia graphics and up to 64GB of DRAM.
The 7330 has a 13″ display with up to 1400cd/m² of output and can survive up to 2m drops and is rated to IP65 and like the larger notebook, is certified to MIL-STD 810H. Weight is 2.31kg (5.1lbs) so it’s heavier than the version with the larger display. Again CPU power is up to Intel Core i7 and 32GB of DRAM, but only Intel graphics are available.
What We Think
The units are not yet listed on Dell’s website as far as I could see. (BR)
