Dell Lowers High Resolution Premium

As part of a move towards making high-resolution monitors “available to everyone”, Dell has announced the P2416D – a 23.8″ model with 2560 x 1440 resolution, which will start at $370.

Although it doesn’t offer high-end features like G-Sync or a curved display, the monitor does have a fully adjustable stand. Users can tilt, swivel or pivot the screen, as well as adjusting its height.

Dell supplies the P2416D with its Premium Panel Guarantee, which offers a free exchange if a single bright pixel is found within three years.

An IPS panel supplies a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 8ms response time and 178° viewing angles. Refresh rate is 60Hz, and the monitor also has an anti-glare coating. Brightness is 300 cd/m². Connectivity is extensive, with DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA and USB (x4) ports.

Dell will begin selling the display worldwide between the end of April and early May.
