Dell Adds to UltraSharp Range

Dell has introduced a number of new monitors. One is the 49″ that our friend, Jon Peddie has looked at (Dell’s Gigundous* 49″ Ultrasharp Monitor) and has highlighted the S2719DC that we reported on from IFA. There is a 24″ of that monitor, the S2419HC, and there is also a new 32″ monitor with UltraHD resolution.

The U3219Q is a 31.5″ UltraHD IPS unit with 1,300:1 contrast and 400 cd/m² of output (in line with DisplayHDR400). It has 99% of sRGB and 95% of DCI-P3 gamut. There is a USB Type-C port with power delivery as well as HDMI and DisplayPort. There is a USB hub with four downstream ports (two with charging). The input ports can be used in PIP and PBP modes and the hub can support KVM features.

The monitor can tilt and pivot and has 150mm of vertical adjustment. It is currently shipping and is selling directly from Dell at £829.44 ($899 plus tax) although the US list is $1,199.

The S2419 has narrow bezels and FullHD resolution and is available with USB Type-C (S2419HC) or without (S2419H). The monitors have IPS panels with 250 cd/m² and 1,000:1 contrast. Response time was 8ms (5ms (grey to grey). There are dual HDMI connectors. List pricing is $399 and $349, respectively.
