Daktronics Wins 7664 m² of LED in Atlanta

Daktronics has designed and engineered what is claimed to be the largest LED video display in the sports market for the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC. The design is a 360º ‘halo’ display that is 58 feet high (17.6m) and 1,075′ in circumference (327m).

A large, first-of-its-kind mega column LED display is also being installed in the stadium and stretches 101′ (30.7m) from the first concourse level to the roof, around a support structure. Altogether, Daktronics will install more than 82,500 square feet (7664 m²) of video displays at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, including 12 further LED displays, three featuring UltraHD and 2.5mm pitch.

Separately, Daktronics said it has installed two new LED video displays inside Carnesecca Arena, NY, the home of the Red Storm men’s and women’s basketball teams and volleyball program. The historic arena now features the third-largest video displays in a college basketball venue, complementing an existing high definition center hung LED board.

The new video boards are capable of variable content zoning which allows all three displays to show any combination of live video, instant replays, scoring and statistical information, animations and graphics and sponsorship messages.
