CTouch is extending its multi-touch large-format display range with an ‘affordable’ 84″ UltraHD Laser model. Don’t get too excited, Laser is just the name of the series; the display is an LCD unit.
Supplied with a seven-year warranty, the Laser model uses IR 10-point touch, with 7ms response and +/-3mm accuracy, and anti-glare safety glass. It is designed for classrooms and meeting rooms and is compatible with Windows 8, Mac and Linux platforms. Multiple devices can be connected to the display wirelessly at the same time.
The 84″ display has 350 cd/m² of brightness (using an edge-LED backlight); a 1,600:1 contrast ratio; and 5ms response time. It can also show 10-bit colour. DisplayPort, HDMI (x4), VGA, component, composite and USB ports are featured, as well as an OPS slot.
CTouch will make the new Laser model available for pre-order this month, but had not released a price at the time of writing.
