CVR 2016 (consumer-vr.com), the first-of-its-kind international conference and expo, announced today, the event is attracting the world’s best virtual and augmented reality companies, technology, and thought leaders. Hosted by Archiact (archiactinteractive.com), CVR 2016 will launch on May 14th at the Vancouver Convention Centre and provide consumers and enterprises exclusive access to new and award-winning VR experiences.

Top industry players will present key insights on how VR/AR will transform the way we work, live and connect with our world.

“CVR was established with the vision that first-hand experience with virtual reality is the only way to fully understand its potential,” said Derek Chen, president of Archiact. “This is a crucial time to demonstrate and discuss how VR/AR technologies can drive new efficiencies across a multitude of industries,” added Chen.

From basic mobile VR experiences to full-motion-capture-multi-player content, CVR 2016 will highlight exciting VR technology across all platforms. International industry leaders such as Cloudhead Games, DreadHalls, PicoVR, VRstudios, and Wavesine Solutions will showcase their best VR content and hardware.

Key thought leaders will present and debate views on the direction and potential of VR & AR. VREAL, VRstudios, VRChat, the National Film Board of Canada, analysts of The Kelsey Group, and Academy Award-winning visual effects and VR film pioneers are just a few to be highlighted.

“VRstudios is thrilled to be sharing our one-of-a-kind platform for gaming and commercial enterprises at CVR 2016,” said Mary Jesse, chief strategy officer for VRstudios and a speaker at the conference. “We have customers around the world benefiting from our full-motion, multi-user, wireless VR system, making this international conference a perfect venue to present our distinct capabilities.”

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. expects the virtual reality market to be an $80 billion industry by 2025.

“We are at a pivotal moment where advancements in technology will define our future with virtual, augmented and mixed reality dominating the market,” said Howard Schargel, 20-year veteran of the 3D and virtual reality industries. “CVR 2016, with its pioneering speakers and exhibitors, is poised to be the definitive go-to international event for this emerging industry.”

Hosted by Archiact Interactive, CVR 2016 is an annual international conference and expo that presents the best of virtual and augmented reality for consumers and enterprise customers.
