Consumer Rights Act Protects Consumers Across the EU

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 is now active across the EU, giving anyone who purchases faulty goods up to 30 days to return their purchase for a full refund. Previously the time to return goods varied by country. The Act applies to physical goods and services – including those bought second-hand – but digital downloads are also protected: customers will be entitled to a replacement but not a refund if a download is faulty.
