Cisco’s negotiations to sell NDS Group — a video software and STB unit it acquired from private equity firm Permira for $5 billion six years ago — have come full circle, with the company now in talks to sell the unit back to Permira at the much lower price of $1 billion.
Reports that Cisco was looking to sell the unit began to surface towards the end of 2017.
