Christie has updated its Twist projector technology, launching three new versions at LDI 2014 in November. Twist is Christie’s warping and edge-blending solution.
Three tiers of Twist software are now available, each for different applications. The regular Christie Twist software is available as a free download, while Twist Premium and Twist Pro are paid upgrades.
Christie Twist and Twist Premium are designed for situations such as live theatre and 371, projection mapping, trade shows and other mid- to large-size venues. Twist Pro is intended for more specialised uses, such as flight simulators, virtual caves and domes. The company says that Twist Pro offers an unlimited number of arbitrary placing points, for greater accuracy.
Regular Christie Twist will run on up to six projectors, while Twist Premium is supported on up to 18 and Twist Pro on an unlimited number. The paid versions add brightness uniformity and auto blending.
