Taiwanese sources report that ChipMOS Technologies has won business from Novatek Microelectronics for touch display driver chips. The sources report that the business will go towards offsetting a loss of business from Synaptics. The firm claims that it currently delivers more than 40% of the LCD drivers packaged in Taiwan.
The company also reported that its revenue went up from $149.5 million in Q1 to $150.1 million in Q2, with gross profits up to $30 million from $26.9 million. 25% of the revenues came from touch display drivers.
