ITV, the UK commercial broadcaster, produced a daily highlights package of horse-racing action in Ultra HD and 360° video, for the Cheltenham Festival, which ended on 17th March. The content was put up on ITV’s Facebook and YouTube pages at 7pm on each day of the festival.
VR City captured the footage using 4K cameras and 360° rigs placed at the start and finish of each race plus at the jump fences and in the winner’s enclosure. Footage could be viewed on all VR headsets compatible with the Facebook and YouTube apps.
