Bosnia Ministry Issues New DTT Tender

The communications and transport ministry in Bosnia, has released an international tender for the supply of digital microwave links for the second phase of public broadcasting digitisation for the country. Suppliers have 40 days to submit their bids and must complete the installation in early 2018. The bid evaluations will be by a commission appointed by the ministry.

According to Ismir Jusko, the minister of communications and transport, the first stage of the transition to digital broadcasting was completed on 14th October 2016 and covered Sarajevo, Mostar and Banja Luka. The second phase will cover six remaining areas with the whole project will be finished after a third phase.

Bosnia is using the DVB-T2 standard for its digital TV services.
