First, I want to wish all my US readers a very happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday.
I mentioned last week that I had seen a lot of adverts for Black Friday. I got fed up with trying to scan hundreds of press releases and then I remembered that my email client could filter a folder, so I set a filter to exclude any releases with Black Friday in the subject. The graphic shows the result this morning – just 1% of the releases in some segments were not about the sales event! (2 from 217!)
In looking at the number, I was reminded of the phrase, often quoted by market researchers and journalists.
“You have to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince” (BR)
