BenQ SW240 is for Entry Level Photographers

BenQ in the US has announce the SW240, a 24.1″ IPS with 1920 x 1200 resolution monitor that is intended for price-sensitive photography professionals and is part of the AQColor SQ PhotoVue range. The monitor has 250 cd/m² of output and 1,000:1 contrast and 5ms response (GtG). Colour coverage is 99% of AdobeRGB, 100% of sRGB and 95% of DCI-P3 and the monitor has 10 bit support. The ΔE value is less than 2 for the Adobe and sRGB colour spaces. The monitor can support calibrators from XRite and Datacolor.

Inputs are DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort 1.2 and there is an integrated 2 down, 1 up USB hub. The monitor supports pivot mode and has height adjustment of 140mm.

Pricing of the monitor is $399 and a shading hood costs $99 (although there is a bundle at $449).
