BenQ Adds Dual UST L/P Projectors

BenQ has two new projectors with support for UST (and on which we reported first from in January (LDM Vol 25 – Issue 02 Roundup). The LW890UST and LH890UST both use the firm’s BlueCore Laser Phosphor technology to give a claimed contrast of 100,000:1 with 1280 x 800 and 1920 x 1080 resolution, respectively. Output is 4,000 Ansi lumens for both models and at 19.8cm from the wall, they can provide 100″ and 105″ image sizes. Designed for installation, they have support for AMX, Crestron and Extron control systems.

Connections are via dual HDMI including one MHL port, an RS232 interface, a composite video and an S-video input. Audio support is via a 10W speaker

The new BenQ laser projectors also support a dual-screen feature, where two individual projections merge into one large projection image or split the projection so that different, complementary content can be displayed on both sides. The built-in Windows gesture control allows multi-touch commands, zooming and scrolling .

Pricing for the LW890UST is €2,940 and the LH890UST is €3,333 plus tax.
