BenQ has introduced a 27″ UltraHD monitor (described as a ‘Video enjoyment’ model), the EL2870U. It supports HDR, but the maximum output is 300 cd/m², so it doesn’t meet the VESA base level HDR400 specification. The panel is a TN unit with a claimed response time of 1ms and native contrast of 1,000:1. Colour support is 72% of NTSC and the monitor supports Dynamic contrast. It has dual 2W speakers.
FreeSync is supported via the DisplayPort 1.4 input and there are also dual HDMI inputs.
List price for the unit is $499.
