BeIN Media Group has integrated Technicolor’s UltraHD technology into its broadcast platform for the MENA region. Technicolor’s technology enables UltraHD content to be broadcast, and includes a single layer transmission using 10-bit HEVC encode/decode; this enables content to be shown on any TV set, whether or not it is UltraHD-capable. BeIN is using its platform to broadcast seven of the UEFA Euro football tournament matches in UltraHD resolution.
