BBC World News, the 24-hour international news channel, has launched a live stream of its news on SVoD service Hulu Japan. This is the first time the BBC has made the linear channel available via international subscription services anywhere in the world.
The feed will be in both English and Japanese and can be seen via Hulu on desktops in Japan with immediate effect. Users can now access live news from the BBC, 24 hours a day. Later in 2017, the service will also become available on smartphones in Japan.
