BBC Director General Elected New EBU President

It has been announced that the BBC’s Director General Tony Hall has been elected as the new president of the European Broadcasting Union. Meanwhile, Delphine Ernotte Cunci, CEO of France Télévisions, will become VP. Both will take up their new roles for a two-year term from January 1st, 2019.

Hall succeeds RTBF’s Jean-Paul Philippot, who has served in the role for ten years. Ernotte Cunci will replace RAI’s Monica Maggioni, who has served as VP for three years.
